Guide To Seattle
The SeattleDIY Collective’s Guide To Seattle is something of a tourist guide. The thing is, we’re not tourists. We’re people who are either living in this city or visiting it, and we want to participate rather than being spectators or consumers. This document is to help you get involved, show you around town, let you know “what’s up.” It’s a work in progress and we’re looking for people to give us input so we can make this more complete and useful.

this is an amazing source of information i’ve only scantly begun to explore even after a full 8 months of living here. is there anywhere i can download the map as a jpeg or bmp? can you allow users to download your tourist guide if not already and myself totally aloof to the website? thanks…
I don’t think Wannabee is there any more.
The Twice Sold Tales in the U district closed a few months ago (very sad!).
Flying Apron moved to Fremont (it’s now at 3510 Fremont Ave).
Juice Goddess is gone.
Archie McPhee moved east a bit, it is now at the corner of Stone and 45th.
Elliott Bay Books moved up to Capitol Hill from downtown (and isn’t QUITE as awesome as before, but is still pretty good)
The Grand Illusion theater in the UDistrict belongs on this list, IMHO.
Bailey-Coy has closed its doors (and much lamented)
Horizon Books on Roosevelt is gone.
