Nana Grizol / Pre-Show Arts, Crafts, Baking

This Tuesday (January, 19th) will be a very fantastic show at the Vera Project featuring these stellar acts:

Last time Nana Grizol was in town (if I recall correctly), it was done as a small Pacific Northwest tour with backing band and tour partners Your Heart Breaks. These shows were played mostly in houses. The time before that Nana Grizol was on tour with a fabulous band called The Music Tapes. That time The Music Tapes were his backing band and it was glorious. This time I’m just assuming that whoever is in The Max Levine Ensemble / Nana Grizol are each others backing bands and so on…

Coming from many years of being a part of concert band (in my more youthful days) I always feel like it’s a pleasure and rare experience a full band incorporated with horns. More so, I feel that incredibly strong lyrical emotions coupled with an emphasizing horn line is even more of a rare sight.

You don’t want to show up late for this show- each band is absolutely fantastic.

Also…

Before this show from 12:00 – 7:00 we will be having an arts & crafts baking gathering / assembly / party / whatever you call it… We call it “Get Hella Baked with Quality Papers.” It’s a baking, stationary, arts and crafts group.

Last Sunday when we did this there was band practice and jamming out upstairs and mega crafts downstairs. We also found a videotape of a funeral taken in the Philippines at the Goodwill Bins that we put on in the background.

If the weather’s fine, the plan is to assemble a bike posse to trek to the Vera in time for the show. We have an art closet with a some supplies but it’s encouraged to bring your own in case we don’t have it. We have a kitchen with spices, sugar, flour, and fluids but we’re not sure if our ingredients will meet your baking needs. We do have cupcake pans though.
